HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELING
Ms. Grijalva is a first-generation college student from El Paso, TX. She came to California on a scholarship where she played basketball, ran cross country, and played in the handbell choir at California Baptist University. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology. She has a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling from the University of Redlands. She has been a school counselor for 17+ years. She is passionate about helping students reach higher for more education or training through financial aid.
MIDDLE SCHOOL COUNSELING
Mrs. Gonter attended Northern Arizona University where she earned her Bachelor's of Science in Education, receiving a Multiple Subject Credential.
She also attended La Verne University where she earned her Master's of Science in School Counseling.
She started her career in SJUSD. She was a teacher for 32 years. This is her 6th year serving as a School Counselor at San Jacinto Leadership Academy.
She is motivated to empower her students to reach their goals.
