Ms. Grijalva
HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELING
Ms. Grijalva is a first-generation college student from El Paso, TX. She came to California on a scholarship where she played basketball, ran cross country, and played in the handbell choir at California Baptist University. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology. She has a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling from the University of Redlands. She has been a school counselor for 17+ years. She is passionate about helping students reach higher for more education or training through financial aid.  
 
Ms. Cortez
MIDDLE SCHOOL COUNSELING
As a San Jacinto High School graduate, Mrs. Cortez is honored to serve the community that helped shape her. After graduating, she attended the University of California, Irvine, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education Sciences, and later completed her Master of Arts in Educational Counseling at Azusa Pacific University. Mrs. Cortez has been a school counselor for 5 years and is passionate about empowering students to recognize their potential and become the best versions of themselves as they grow. She strives to create a supportive environment where every student can thrive. She values balancing hard work with self-care and encourages students to enjoy the journey. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, and learning new board games!
